Be part of the backbone of this hedge funds’ software infrastructure. Platforms that over 1,000 users rely on.
You’ll be joining a team that oversee the architecture and maintenance of a huge package of software platforms that most of the trading environments rely on. The platform is used and accessed millions of times per hour and is available in the cloud or on-prem. Your focus is going to be on vendoring open source software here, compiling and building all kinds of software packages that are highly complex, used by some of the brightest minds in finance and technology in the world.
Automation is huge here; you’ll be looking at new ways to automate package vendoring and environment management pipelines. You’ll be building these CI/CD pipelines in the cloud with various containers. This is a business critical role and the total compensation, up to $500k goes along with it.
You’re definitely going to need strong Python experience. Exposure to things like Make, Dazzle or CMake would be ideal too. Everything runs on Linux, almost at OS kernel level, so you’ll need to know your way around Linux.
This is a global hedge fund with strong performance and a great reputation. It’s a demanding environment but the compensation and the opportunity to learn and progress has the potential to more than make up for it. You’ll be able to grow into a leader in the future and own various specifics of the software infrastructure. It’s up to you where you go.
